FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE. Vail and Denver, Colorado

Energist artist Julia Watkins today released "Lovers" an acrylic painting on canvas
in which large swirl patterns depict the energy between man and woman. The
painting\'s focus is on the tension and anticipation one feels immediately prior to
physical embrace. While the couple is separate, the heat and energy between them is
undeniable. "It depicts a universal adult experience" says Watkins. "Couples
especially identify."

Medical Waiver Required Prior To Viewing

At a recent private viewing, Watkins's business manager, Spencer Kluesner jokingly
asked patrons to sign a health waiver prior to seeing the piece. "It gets a
surprisingly strong reaction considering there is nothing graphic about it," said
Kluesner.

While he acknowledges that the subject of lovers has been painted before, he
believes that Watkins's use of the energist style itself has allowed viewers to tap
into more instinctual feelings.

Art that forces you to feel. Some feel too much.

When first viewed, the energy swirls hide the image of the lovers. According to
Watkins, this is intentional. "My art forces the viewer to participate and
experience its subject without thinking\" she said. \"To see the underlying image, you
have to let go and tap into your creative side" she continued. "You experience the
image in a very personal way.\"

In the case of Lovers, the feeling, while universal isn't always mutual. Watkins
began working on the piece in a park in Sarasota Florida. As the painting
progressed, it drew onlookers and eventually "many weird phone calls." She completed
the piece in private and was forced to have her calls screened.

Limited edition prints of the painting are available on canvas and fine art paper
through Platris Fine Art at www.platris.com/energism.html

This art style inspired by a dream..

After 20 years as an impressionist painter, in September 2004 Watkins had a
life-altering dream which inspired Energism. She awoke and painted \"First Dream.\"
Other paintings followed.
